Takes six LR6 (AA) batteries (Alkaline, Lithium, NiCad, or NiMH) and includes alternate shutter-release and zoom buttons that make it easier to take pictures with the camera in vertical position. You can take 300 shots with the MB-CP11 (with LR6-AA batteries). Ideal when more power is needed or you have no time to charge extra batteries.
